Why do I not have any breaks in my paragraphs?

If you are having problems creating breaks between your paragraphs below are some workarounds that you may find helpful.

  • Use Firefox for posts that are heavily formatted.
  • In Chrome/Safari hit shift-return to force Blackboard's Editor to put in a line-break. (Return by itself will only close the <div>.)
  • Roll your own HTML like the "cool kids" do! Just clicking Blackboard's "HTML Source" button (it looks like angled brackets):

paragraph formatting

Not a perfect solution, but hopefully at least one of these workaround will get you well on your way to writing posts that are easier to read.
